First off, we're glad you're here! Trying out LookingForGroup.social is free for users to create a profile and small clubs. Social media connects you to the world but not your neighborhood. Meetup and Facebook groups are open to everyone: AI, bots, spam, MLM, and strangers with no shared values. Here at LookingForGroup.social we put people first as our mission is to connect people in the real-world. LookingForGroup.social is matchmaking for friendship. Build small, intentional clubs around what you actually care about: books, TV, music, sports, crafting, gaming, or gardening. Connect with real people right in your own neighborhood.
Browse clubs near you on a map.
Filter by interest, location, and schedule. When a club is open to new members, it appears on the map. When you're open to invitations, you can appear on the map too! No cold outreach. No algorithms pushing ads. Just people nearby looking for others to join them in their interests.
Can't find the right group? Start one.
Create a club and become a club manager. Set the intent for the gathering and meeting times, and open it to new members. You're in charge of who is allowed in the club. LookingForGroup helps you find people whose values and interests genuinely overlap with yours — not just whoever happens to click join. Fill out your profile with your interests and introduce yourself so people can learn what you're about and you might find yourself invited to another club.
Coordinate real-world events.
Once your club is together, create member-only events to keep the momentum of community building. Consistency is the key to relationship building, so keep scheduling those events! If you're looking to increase your club size, share your event link so that people can see what your club is up to and let you know they are interested in joining.
